It's been a while...

Yes almost 3 years since we have left our fondest memories of those BYU days... but still we support our team!! The family came from Utah and we ventured to the UNLV vs. BYU football game!! And wow, what seats we had! Section 322 Nosebleed in the southwest corner... luckily there were some very nice BYU students around us cheering the team on with us all... un-luckily we were also mixed in with drunk UNLV team supporters. So, after walking a few miles to the stadium after parking, getting to the stadium with a backpack full of goodies-- (snacks and gatorade... sorry, no beer for us!)--everyone getting into the front gates after getting our tickets scanned, but Tyler standing outside the front gates by himself getting the backpack checked, then the workers tell us that we can not come back in if we leave, of course Tyler having to walk a few miles back to the car to put the backpack away, finally getting up to the nosebleed section, cheering the team on, literally holding back a BYU fan because a drunk UNLV guy behind him has decided to share his excitement by causing a fight, getting beer spilled on our blankets, watching the same 24 people walk by us with the 30th beer in their hands while they chant "better say your prayers!", having to merge from 2 lanes to 1 lane in the fun after-the-game traffic, getting cut off by a lady who is all by herself in a trail blazer--laying on the horn to let her know she almost took off the front bumper, the same lady parking her car sideways in the middle of the after-the-game traffic just to roll her window down and look at us and ask us "what?", screeching around the same lady because she has now completely stopped traffic, her catching up to us and my brother swinging open the van door to ask her what her problem is and then getting a very colorful reply from a drunk her, ----I would say all and all we had a grand old time!! Will we go to another UNLV event? Um, probably not. BYU and drunk people just do not mix. After of course having a victory score of BYU 24 / UNLV 14 made things a bit more exciting!
